In silvered bronze with red, green and blue enamels, unmarked, gilt monogram of King Carol I on the obverse centrepiece, measuring 41 mm (w) x 63 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, traces of glue residue evident on the arm at 12 o'clock at on the reverse due to repositioning of the centrepiece, very light contact, replacement military ribbon, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Star of Romania was instituted on May 10, 1877 and revised on May 9, 1932. It was Romania's highest civil Order and second highest State decoration after the defunct Order of Michael the Brave. It was originally awarded in six grades: Grand Cross with Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight, in three divisions: Military, and Military for War Merit.
