Titlul de "Erou al Muncii Socialiste". Instituted in 1951. Type I (1965-1986). In silver gilt, measuring 27.5 mm (w) x 27 mm (h), original ribbon placed with an horizontal frame hanger with pinback, extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of the Hero of Socialist Labour was instituted on September 28, 1951 and awarded to those who have distinguished themselves in an extraordinary way in the work of construction of Socialism in Romania. Three versions of the award exists: Romania People's Republic (RPR) 1951-1965; Romania Socialist Republic (RSR) Type I 1965-1986; and Romania Socialist Republic (RSR) Type II 1986-1989.
