Russia, Imperial. A Japanese War Campaign Medal, Bronze Issue
In bronze, 28 mm, with correct but modern ribbon, extremely fine condition. Footnote: The medal was instituted on January 21, 1906 during the reign of Nicholas II. It was created to commemorate the 1904-1905 conflict between the Russian and Japanese Empires. The bronze version was bestowed upon the higher ranks of military and civilian personnel, border guards and volunteers that had taken active part in the conflict.
