Russia, Imperial. Six Military Studio Photographs
All six photos are black and white, five with a matte finish, one with a gloss finish, each is board mounted and are studio marked in gold-coloured ink below the photo on the obverse, four are studio marked on the reverse, four have handwritten inscriptions on the reverse, one of which is dated 1910. Five illustrate the men wearing various orders and medals: one of a well-decorated officer wearing fifteen awards (including two Orders of Sr. Vladimir, two Orders of St. Anne, two Orders of St. Stanislaus, the Medal for the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878, the Romanian Trans Danube Cross, plus seven other awards); one of an officer wearing six awards (including the Order of St. Stanislaus, Order of St. Anne, the Commemorative Medal for the 300th Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty, plus three other awards): one soldier wearing the Order of St. Vladimir, the Order of St. Anne plus two other awards; one soldier wearing the Order of St. Vladimir, along with a badge below the cockade on his hat; one officer wearing a badge; the sixth soldier without an award. Five of the photos measure 62 mm (w) x 102 mm (h) each, the other one measures 65 mm (w) x 105 mm (h). Ranging from very fine to near extremely fine.
