What's a max bid?

In bronze gilt, obverse inscriptions in Russian on both sides, obverse inscribed "For Service and Bravery", reverse inscribed "Ochakov Taken on 6 December 1788", measuring 45.5 mm (w) x 50.8 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, contact marks, very fine.

Footnote: The cross and medal was created on April 14, 1789 during the reign of Empress Catherine II, to commemorate the storming of the Turkish fortress of Ochakov. The Gold Grade Cross was awarded to officers who had not been decorated with the Orders of Saint George of Saint Vladimir.
