In silver, the front cover with a 20 mm (w) x 33.7 mm (h) "A" surmounted by an independent Royal Russian crown, representing Tsar Alexander III (life: March 10, 1845 - November 1, 1894; reign: March 13, 1881 - November 1, 1894), both the crown and cypher insignia with a Gold base, the crown bearing sixteen inset old rose cut diamonds, the cypher with thirty-three inset rubies with a beaded Gold border, the inside front cover with independent support plates in Gold for both the crown and cypher, the inside front and back covers Kokoshnik assay marked with a woman's head, a triangle representing the Moscow assay office mark to the left of her head and the zolotniki fineness number "84" to the right, along with being maker marked in Cyrillic "BA" (VA in Latin), the inside back cover with an elastic restraining strap, hinged on the left side, push release closure on the right side incorporating an oval purple stone, measuring 93 mm (w) x 115 (h) x 15 mm (d), exhibiting the expected contact marks on the exterior from active use, the diamonds and rubies intact, better than very fine.
