Blackened bronze, obverse illustrating the all-seeing eye emanating flaming rays above the year "1812", reverse inscribed "Not Unto Us, Not Unto Us, But In Thy Name" in Russian, 28.2 mm, replacement ribbon, green oxidation evident on the reverse, very light contact, better than very fine.
Footnote: The bronze medal version of the medal was instituted on August 30, 1814 during the reign of Tsar Alexander I, to commemorate the end of the campaign on Russian soil against the Napoleonic forces. It was awarded to noblemen and merchants for their active participation in the war.
