In silver gilt with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, obverse presents with a Leopold Cross with white enameled arms, central gilt depiction of St. Nicholas on a white enameled background, with swords crossing at the centre, each arm joined by a richly detailed Griffin clutching a sword and shield, reverse with central raised inscription “"BEЛ. MIPOB. BOЙHA 1914 Г.-1917 Г." (“Great World War 1914-1917”), unmarked, measuring 35.55 mm (w) x 38.95 and weighing 21.8 grams inclusive of ribbon, accompanied by its period original miniature, of identical construction and presentation, unmarked, measuring 16.48 mm (w) x 18.36 mm (h) and weighing 2.3 grams inclusive of ribbon, in near extremely fine condition.
