Instituted in 1945. In brass, measuring 32 mm in diameter, nicks on the raised rim, spotting, original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided brass suspension with pinback, better than very fine.

Footnote: The Medal for the Capture of Koenigsberg was established by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on June 9, 1945. The qualifying period was from January 23, 1945 to April 10, 1945.
