Five-piece construction, in bronze gilt with blue, white and black enamels, hand-painted obverse centerpiece, measuring 45.7 mm (w) x 45.7 mm (h), small chip evident in the white enamels at the tip of the arm at 12 o'clock on the obverse, along with crazing present in the white enamels on the reverse of the arm at 3 o'clock, original ribbon, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Civil and Military Order of San Marino (Saint Marinus) was instituted on August 13, 1859. It is awarded for outstanding civil or military services to the Republic, or for humanitarian, artistic, political or scientific accomplishment, in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight, plus a Medal in Gold, Silver and Bronze Grades.
