A Serbian Soldier's Military Cross of Kara-George

Kingdom of SerbiaSoldier's Military Cross of Kara-George (also known as Military Order of the Star of Karageorge with Swords); Cross Gold Grade, in silvered/gilded bronze, 39mm (x61mm including crown suspension), unmarked, but typical WWI period manufacture by Arthus Bertrand of Paris (reverse dated 1914-18), with old attered ribbon, slight contact marks, in very fine condition. The cross was awardded to NCO's and soldiers for exceptional bravery and self-sacrifice, and was the highest bravery award given to Serbian NCO's and soldiers during WW1.
