A Serbian Balkan Wars Commemorative Cross
Bronze gilt, 41.5 mm, on a lightly soiled original ribbon with hook and eye, scattered gilt wear, light contact, better than very fine. Footnote: The cross was awarded for meritorious service during the 1st Balkan War (Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and Montenegro vs. the Ottoman Empire in 1912) and the 2nd Balkan War (Greece, Serbia, Montenegro and the Ottoman Empire vs. Bulgaria in 1913). The medal was established in 1913 and was awarded to both civilian and military personnel.
