Serbia, Kingdom. An Order of St. Sava, II Class Grand Officer Set, by Huguenin
Instituted on January 23, 1883 by King Milan I. Type III (1922-1941). Saint in Green Robes. Multi-piece construction, in silver gilt with blue, white and red enamels, gilt centrepiece rings, painted obverse centrepiece, dated "1883" on the reverse, measuring 52.0 mm (w) x 85.1 mm (h), weighs 53.4 grams (including ribbon), worn on an original full-length neck ribbon showing some wear, scattered gilt wear, enamels intact, in near extremely fine condition. The Star of the Order, in silver, an eight-point star with faceted rays, the obverse medallion in silver gilt with hand painted center medallion, the reverse bears a single vertical pin marked .925 silver and maker marked HF denoting Huguenin and Freres, measures 78.95mm (w) x 82.75mm (h), weighs 64.1 grams, enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.
