In silver gilt, a white enamelled double headed eagle, the center medallion featuring a white enamelled cross, the reverse medallion presents the year 1882 on a red enamelled field, above the eagle sits two crossed swords secured to the blue enamelled pendilia surmounted by a crown suspension, measures 50.7mm (w) x 88.8mm (h), weighs 43.6 grams, loss of blue enamel to reverse of pendilia, scattered gilt wear, accompanied by a neck ribbon in separate pieces, a rare commander with swords which remains in very fine condition.
Contained in rare original case of issue featuring Serbian Coat of Arms, III and swords on the obverse, the interior features the makers mark on the lid of Arthus Bertrand PARIS, the base features a crème-coloured velvet partially recessed medal bed with storage for sash near hinges, measures 93mm (w) x 165mm (h) x 34mm (d), light wear to exterior, hinge and clasp functional, remains in very fine condition.
