The Blue Division Awards of Major General De Cardenas - Acquired directly from the family in Spain, this is a cased set of awards having belonged to Nuestro General D.Jose Arrazola De Cardenas - of the famous Spanish Blue Division. Contained within a custom made patriotic case with padded satin fitted medal bed as well as lid. The awards include: The Royal and Military Order of St.Hermenegildo - In silver gilt and enamels, 63.22mm, with single blue enamel chip, worn, pin back, extremely fine; Spanish War Cross in silver gilt and enamels, 54.58mm, Small chipping from wear, otherwise very fine; The Order of Military Merit - In bronze gilt and bright red enamelling, 39.79mm, Spanish made, reverse enameling show wear from contact with accompanying awards, near very fine; Medal for the Campaign of 1936-1939 - Patinated bronze and gilt, 36 mm, laterally-pierced ball suspension, extremely fine; East Medal 1941/42 - In zinc, marked 13 on ring, very fine. Medal of the Spanish Division in Russia - In zinc, marked 1 on ring (Deschler), worn, near very fine; Sleeve insignia, uniform removed, 70mm, fine; two ribbon bar sets, very fine; Case is solid, missing left catch, leather covered, fine.
