A Spanish Civil War German Eagle Order Medal Bar
As worn by Spanish veteran this untouched group includes the Order of Military Merit, Silver Cross with Red Distinction, Franco Crown (1938-1975) (die-stamped silver, 38.5 mm x 29.2 mm); Medal for the Campaign of 1936-1939 (bronze gilt and a black matte finish, engraver marked "A.M." on the obverse, 36.5 mm); Cross for Military Constancy, Non-Commissioned Officers, Pensioner’s Cross (two-piece construction, bronze gilt with red, white, blue and yellow enamels, 40.3 mm x 51.8 mm, inclusive of its Franco crown suspension); Third Reich: a Spanish made German Eagle Order, Silver Grade Merit Medal (two-piece construction, silver, 37.8 mm x 41.5 mm inclusive of its swords suspension); and Twenty-Five Years of Peace Cross 1939-1964 (bronze gilt with red, white and navy blue enamels, 48.2 mm x 59.8 mm). Mounted to a traditional Spanish-style horizontal hanger with swing bar pinback, original ribbons, chipping evident in the red and blue enamels on the centrepiece of the Cross for Military Constancy, near extremely fine.
