A silver gilt eight-pointed rayed star, with red enameled obverse centerpiece also in silver gilt, exhibiting a superposed Armament and Construction’s insignia in silver, surmounted by typical of time period Spanish crown in silver gilt, reverse with decorative pin assembly and dual stays, measuring 71.67 mm (w) x 71.76 mm (h), very rare, mint.
Footnote: The Polytechnic University of the Spanish Army was instituted after the end of the Civil War on September 27, 1940. It was founded as part of the Spanish Army’s restructuring of 1940. It was awarded to those students who achieved the doctoral study plan in the School. The last doctoral plaque was awarded in 1995.
