(Orden al Mérito Naval). Instituted August 3, 1866 by Queen Isabella II. White Distinction. A silver eight arm star with faceted rays, the obverse with a white enamel cross with a blue enamel superimposed anchor on top, with a red enamel cap, in each quadrant there are alternating castilles and rampant lions, the reverse bears a vertical pin flanked by dual stays, measures 62.6mm (w) x 60.7mm (h), weighs 37.0 grams, enamels intact, hinge and catch functional, in very fine condition.
