What's a max bid?

Spain, Kingdom. An Order of Naval Merit, II Class Star, c.1930

(Orden al Mérito Naval). Instituted 1866 by Queen Isabel II. Alfonso XIII (1902-1931). Type I. White Distinction. A multi-rayed eight-pointed star in polished silver, obverse depicting a white-enamelled Latin Cross in silver gilt, superposing by a blue-enamelled anchor also in silver gilt, with 12 o’clock arm presenting gilded red-enamelled Spanish Royal Crown and clasp, with alternating silver-gilded lions and castles in each quadrant, the reverse with ornament pin assembly and dual stays, measuring 61.77 mm (w) x 62.59 mm (h), presenting minor loss of gilt and stained white enamels, with loss of reverse cartouche, better than very fine.

Footnote: The Order of Naval Merit was established in Spain by Queen Isabel II on August 3, 1866. It was founded to recognize the Spanish Navy force which was taking part in several overseas battles at that time. The White Division is awarded in recognition of meritorious service during military missions.
