In silver gilt, a white enamelled Maltese cross with ball finials, three smooth rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents Fascist state symbolism in enamels, surrounded by a red enamel ring inscribed AL MERITO SANITARIO, the reverse in blue enamels presents a white enamelled cross with a wreath and crown, the cross is surmounted by a half-enamelled wreath, measures 46mm (w) x 70.4mm (h), weighs 104.2 grams, including the full-length sash, enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.
Accompanied by the star of the order presenting a white enamelled Maltese Cross with ball finials, five faceted rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents Fascist state symbolism in enamels, surrounded by a red enamel ring inscribed AL MERITO SANITARIO, the reverse offers a single decorative pin with dual stays, measures 60.6mm (w) x 60.7mm (h), weighs 50.4 grams, very minor flecks to enamel, lovely gilt, in extremely fine condition.
