Fullsize: multi-piece construction construction, in silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, measuring 59.5 mm (w) x 63 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, intact enamels, on its full-length original neck ribbon; and Miniature: three-piece construction, in silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, measuring 19.3 mm (w) x 19.7 mm (h), button hole attachment. Both awards with intact enamels, very light contact, extremely fine. In their hardshelled case of issue, maroon textured exterior, Spanish coat-of-arms in silver gilt affixed to the lid, 52 mm (w) x 60 mm (h) silver plate affixed to the lid engraved "El Personal del Instituto de La Grasa al Dr. / D. JOSE MARIA RODRIGUEZ DE LA BORBOLLA / Jefe del Departamento de Quimica y Microbiologia." (The La Grasa Institute Staff to Dr. Mr. Jose Maria Rodriguez de la Borbolla, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Microbiology.), maker marked "CONDECORACIONES JOYERIA CEJALVO / CRUZ 5 MADRID" on the white satin inside lid, raised platform with a black felt recessed medal bed, measuring 113 mm (w) x 145 mm (h) x 38 mm (d), light scuffing on the bottom, case near extremely fine.
