Fullsize: two-piece construction, in silver gilt with red and black enamels, illustrating the Spanish coat-of-arms with a bronze gilt disk placed behind the eagle's head, clusters of crossed arrows in each quadrant, on a Maltese Cross base, measuring 49 mm (w) x 54.7 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, on its original full-length neck ribbon; and Miniature: two-piece construction, in silver gilt with red, yellow and black enamels, measuring 15.7 mm (w) x 16 mm (h), with ring-style button hole attachment. Both with intact enamels, together, extremely fine. In their hardshelled case of issue, maroon pebbled exterior, Spanish coat-of-arms in bronze gilt affixed to the lid, named to "ANTONIO DEL VALLE" on the bottom, maker marked "CONDECORACIONES JOYERIA CEJALVO / CRUZ 5 MADRID" on the white satin inside lid, black felt recessed medal bed, plus a raised coupling for the miniature, measuring 112 mm (w) x 142 mm (h) x 36 mm (h), peeling evident in the fabric overlying the hinged area and scuffing evident of the exterior, case very fine. Accompanied by a booklet entitled "Reglamento de la Orden de Cisneros" (Regulation of the Order of Cisneros), published in Madrid in 1947, 20 pages plus cover, printed in four-colour inks, single staple-bound, measuring 107 mm (w) x 153 mm (h), light soiling on the cover.
Footnote: The Order of Cisneros was instituted in Spain by General Francisco Franco on March 8, 1944. It was created after the end of the Spanish Civil War to reward those who served Franco during the war, and collaborated on the establishment of the new government.
