(Orden de la Cruz de San Raimundo de Peñafort). Instituted 1944. Two-piece construction, insignia in bronze gilt with red, white and blue enamels, mounted to a cross-shaped base in silvered bronze with white enamels, each of the points on the cross with ball finials, unmarked, measuring 54 mm (w) x 61.7 mm (h), original ribbon, on a traditional Spanish-style horizontal hanger with pinback, intact enamels, very light contact, near extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order Of The Cross Of St. Raymond Of Penafort was instituted on January 23, 1944 by General Francisco Franco. It is awarded for services to law and justice, in the following grades: Cross of Merit, Cross of Honour, Cross of Distinction Class 1, Cross of Distinction Class 2, Knight and Medals of Judicial Merit.
