Alfonso XIII (1886-1931) In bronze gilt with light blue, dark blue and white enamels, measuring 37.7 mm (w) x 56.3 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, tied in place to its original full-length sash bearing a large bow-tied rosette and incorporating a decorative moiré pattern, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Royal and Military Order of St Hermenegildo was instituted on November 28, 1814 and awarded to all ranks of the armed forces and civil guard for faithful service, in four grades: Grand Cross, Star, Commander and Knight.
