What's a max bid?

Spain, Kingdom. A Royal & Distinguished Order of Charles III, Commander's Star, c.1920

(Real y Muy Distinguida Orden de Carlos III). Instituted in 1771 by King Charles III of Spain. Alfonso XIII issue. A beautiful hand-finished Maltese cross with ball finials in faceted silver, each arm superposed by an enameled blue triangle with cleft base in Gold, featuring detailed cut silver fleur-de-lis in each quadrant, obverse centre also in Gold depicting a finely enameled blue cypher of Charles III encircled by a green enameled laurel wreath, circumscribed by an elegant blue enameled border with beaded edges, reverse with pin assembly and dual stays, measuring 74.11 mm (w) x 78.98 mm (h), presenting minor toned silver on the tips, otherwise near to mint.
 
Footnote: One of the most eminent Spanish Order, the Royal and Distinguished Order of Charles III was established by King Carlos III/Charles III of Spain on September 19, 1771, to mark the occasion of the birth of his grandson Carlos V/Charles V, future heir of the Spanish throne. It was dedicated to Immaculate Conception, and was confirmed by Pope Clement XIV on February 21, 1772.
