A Colt Derringer .22 Short Pistol with a carved ivory handle depicting a buck with antlers and branches, the base of the grip engraved CAZORLA GREDOS, the top of the blued barrel is engraved COLT, with the side impressed 11 CAL. SHORT COLT’S P.F.A. MCG. CO. ING. HTFD. CT., U.S.A, numbered 54922D, nickel finish, the bore has been blocked, hammer cocks properly, very minimal wear, an important piece of history in extremely fine condition.
The case presents a brown leatherette exterior with central silver disc hand engraved with a rampant horse, a silver plate in the bottom right corner engraved FRANCISCO FRANCO, the interior presents a rich red silk liner marked COLT in the top left corner, the base with a recessed velvet bed, the case measures 200mm (w) x 130mm (l) x 43mm (d), the exterior clasp in the form of a tab with button has been severed from the lid, hinge covered and functional, exterior silver bears oxidation, dark discolouration on the base, case in very fine condition.
