Instituted in 1943. In blackened bronze, measuring 30.5 mm (w) x 35.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, very light contact, original ribbon, near extremely fine.

Footnote: The medal was created for the 500 volunteers of the City of La Manche and was granted once, on November 22, 1943.
