Two-piece construction, in silver with red, white, light blue, dark blue, yellow, gray and black enamels, measuring 45.5 mm (w) x 64.3 mm (h) inclusive of its Olympic rings suspension, intact enamels, the two pieces held firmly in place via two pins, original ribbon, on a traditional Spanish-style horizontal hanger with pinback, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Medal for Sports Merit was instituted in 1952 and was issued in three grades: I Class Gold Grade, II Class Silver Grade and III Glass Bronze Grade.
