(Orden del Mérito Civil, Comandante). Instituted in 1926. Type II (1942-1975). A silver eight-point star with superimposed blue and white enamelled cross, the obverse medallion with the inscription AL MERITO CIVIL, a crown in Gold and Silver with diamonds sits on the 12 o’clock arm, the reverse with a decorative vertical pin flanked by dual stays , presenting five rivets on the reverse, measures 77.4mm (w) x 80.7mm (h), weighs 61.2 grams, reverse medallion plate is loose, enamels intact, in near extremely fine condition.
