What's a max bid?

Spain, II Republic. A Victory Wall Hanging for the Spanish Civil War, 1939

A large cloth wall hanging in a watercolour-esque style in full colour, the top banner reads A NUESTROS HEROES ANO DE LA VICTORIA, the Spanish coat of arms sits below with symbols of the republic on each side, the center of presents a large map of Spain with the key cities identified, around the exterior representations of the armed forces including navy, air force, cavalry, infantry, armoured vehicles, red cross and labourers are clearly identified, the date 18 De JULIO 1936 on the left and 1 DE ABRIL 1939 on the right, the bottom banner reads LA ESPANA INDUSTRIAL. S.A. BARCELONA, a border of green and grey entwined wreath encircles the central art, the colour has bled through to the back, measures 75cm (w) x 73.5cm (h), fraying along the top and bottom, light discolouration to the edges and creases throughout, remains in near extremely fine condition.

 

Footnote: The Spanish Civil War was fought in Spain from 1936 to 1939 between the Republicans and the Nationalists. Throughout this period, a total of 500,000 people were killed. The Nationalists won the war and ruled Spain until General Francisco Franco’s death in 1975.
