What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Instituted in 1927 (in silvered zinc, measuring 32.2 mm (w) x 59.7 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, six-sided star clasp affixed to its original frayed ribbon, accompanied by its 30 mm (w) x 12 mm (h) ribbon bar with six-sided star clasp); four Francoist Era awards:

2. Order of Military Merit, Silver Cross (Orden del Mérito Militar). Instituted in 1864 (in die-stamped silver, measuring 37.5 mm (w) x 47.5 mm (h), original wartime ribbon, on a traditional Spanish-style horizontal hanger with pinback).

3. Twenty-Five Years of Peace Cross 1939-1964 (Veinticinco Años de Paz Cruz). Instituted in 1964 (three-piece construction, in bronze gilt with red, white and blue enamels, measuring 46.7 mm (w) x 58.3 mm (h), original ribbon, intact enamels);

4. Twenty-Five Years of Peace Cross 1939-1964, Miniature (two-piece construction, in bronze gilt with red and white enamels, measuring 13.2 mm (w) x 15.8 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels);

5. Invalids of War Decoration (Mutilados de Guerra). Instituted in 1938 (in bronze with blue enamels, measuring 32.5 mm (w) x 41 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, original ribbon, intact enamels);

Ranging from near fine to near extremely fine.
