Footnote: In 1917, Oberst (Colonel) Otto Husserl was the last commander of the Austro-Hungarian Infantry Regiment No. 35, which had existed since 1683 and was disbanded in 1918. The 35th Regiment was a Bohemian regiment that included a number of Czech soldiers, who ended up being blamed for the defeat in the Battle of Zborov (Austria-Hungary vs. Russian and Czechoslovakian forces) in 1917, as they allegedly deserted their posts. However, this was just a propaganda effort when a scapegoat was needed.
