What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Turkey, Ottoman Empire. An Order of Osmanieh, IV Class Knight

(Nishan-i-Osmania). Instituted in 1861. Multi-piece construction, in silver gilt with red and green enamels, inscribed in Arabic "Relying on the Assistance of Almighty God, Abdulaziz Khan, Sovereign of the Ottoman Empire" in Gold on the obverse centrepiece, reverse centrepiece with a trophy-of-arms with the year AH 699 (1299/1300 AD, the year of the creation of the Ottoman Empire), measuring 63.5 mm (w) x 82.5 mm (h) inclusive of its crescent moon and star suspension, repair evident in the green enamels on the star point at 2 o'clock on the obverse, chipping and crazing in the green enamels on all seven star points on the reverse, scattered gilt wear, folded original ribbon with a Saxon ribbon placed on the underside, fine.

 

Footnote: The Order of Osmanieh was instituted on December 9, 1861 by Sultan 'Abdu'l-Aziz Khan I and awarded to Ottoman civil servants and military leaders for outstanding services to the state. It was originally award in three grades, which was extended to five grades in 1867.
