What's a max bid?

WWI Trukish Pilot Buddecke Picture Postcard - Black and white, obverse entitled "Hauptmann Buddecke", the Hauptmann standing and wearing a Turkish hat with a Turkish Air Force insignia, wearing a Pour le Merite at the neck, a Turkish Liyakat Medal on his left breast, with an Iron Cross 1st Class and Turkish Pilot's Badge below, inscribed "371 Postkartenvertrieb W. Sanke BERLIN N. 37. / Nachdruck wird gerichtlich verfolgt." in the lower left corner, reverse with postcard style backer, 86 mm x 135 mm, small stain on the reverse, near mint. Footnote: Hans-Joachim Buddecke (born August 22, 1890 in Berlin, died March 10, 1918 near Lille, France) was a German flying ace in World War I, credited with thirteen victories. He was the third ace, after Max Immelmann and Oswald Boelcke, to earn the Blue Max (Pour le Merite). He saw combat in three theatres during the war: Bulgaria, Turkey and the Western Front. Buddecke was killed during an aerial combat above Lens, France on March 10, 1918, the victim to Sopwith Camels of 3 Naval Squadron, Royal Naval Air Service.
