What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Russia, Soviet Union. A Nakhimov Medal

(Медаль Нахимова). Instituted in 1944. In bronze, numbered on the edge, measuring 35.7 in diameter, light contact and surface wear, original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided brass suspension with pinback, better than very fine.

Footnote: The Nakhimov Medal was a Soviet military award created on March 3, 1944 by decision of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, to reward distinction in the defence of the socialist homeland and to actively recognize successful combat missions on ships, in units of the Navy or of Border Guards. It was named in honour of Russian admiral Pavel Nakhimov, one of the most famous admirals in Russian naval history. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, the award was potentially and only temporarily retained by Decree No 2424-1 of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation of March 2, 1992. It was never awarded under the Russian Federation and finally removed from the list of state awards by decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 2, 1994.
