Order of Lenin
Type 6, Variation 1 (1950's-1991). GOLD, platinum, and enamels, oval, manufactured at Leningrad mint with raised "Leningradskii Monetny Dvor" mark and numbered "280636" on reverse, 38 mm x 40.5 mm, five-sided ribbon suspension, near mint. Footnote: The Order of Lenin was the highest award of the Soviet Union and was established by the Presidium of the Central Committee of the USSR on April 6, 1930. Six versions were created over a sixty-one year period, until the last order was issued in 1991.
