A Grand Cross in silver gilt, featuring a broad eight point star with superimposed red enamel cross potent, the reverse is plain with a central silver rivet, the cross is surmounted by a large crown with red enamelling to represent the internal cap, measures 57.4mm (w) x 90.9mm (h – inclusive of surmounting cross), weighs 35.3 grams, enamels intact, light gilt wear, included with a full length blue sash, in extremely fine condition. The star, in silver, presents an eight point star with faceted rays, the center features a large eight point silver gilt star overlaid with the red enamelled cross potent on top, the reverse bears a single vertical pin assembly, measures 82.9mm (w) x 84.5mm (h), weighs 60.4 grams, unmarked, edges of star are sharp and rough in areas, light wear, hinge and catch functional, in very fine condition.
Contained in case of issue featuring a red leatherette exterior with crème coloured silk interior lid and crème coloured velvet recessed medalbed, measures 75mm (w) x 310mm (h) x 50mm (d), light wear to exterior, hinge and clasp functional.
Two boutonniere pins with blue ribbon and enamelled crosses in the center are included.
