Type II. (1880-1905 Issue); Military Division, Collar badge in silver gilt with blue and white enamels, gold centre piece on the obverse, measuring 41.5 mm (w) x 45.8 mm (h), the badge suspended from a bronze gilt collar chain consisting of a trophy of arms in the centre of the chain, with an upward-pointing hook on its reverse to support the collar badge, the chain incorporating seventeen 30 mm (w) x 35 mm (h) insignia, each of which has an ornate capped dual framed column on either side, eight of the insignias with a Chi-Rho christogram symbol between the columns, the other nine insignias with an eight-sided star between the columns, each of the insignia with two loops on either end and linked together via two single chain links to a central five-petalled flower icon, the chain measuring approximately 990 mm in length. Intact enamels on the badge, extremely fine.
