Yugoslavia, Serbia. Six Chetnik Photographs and Postcards
Included are four soldier photographs and two postcards. Three of the photos illustrate a single soldier, two in a studio setting, the third taken outdoors, while the remaining fourth photo illustrates a group of six soldiers outdoors. Three are in black and white, one incorporating a caption, the other is in a brown tint giving its a sepia-toned look and inscriptions above and below the photo, three with a matte finish, one with a speckled finish, two with postcard style backers, one bearing an inscription on its reverse, one is stamped "Museum of the People's Revolution, Sarajevo" in Croatian on the reverse, one with scalloped edges, the other three with straight edges, ranging in size from 88 mm (w) x 125 mm (h) to 90 mm (w) x 140 mm (h), two exhibiting extensive soiling, the other two are very clean and crisp. Also included are two postcards: one is in colour and illustrates Christ, an angel and a soldier; the other is in black and white and illustrates a hunting lodge with Montenegrin and Albanian weaponry, both with a matte finish, with postcard style backers, measuring 90 mm (w) x 145 mm (h) and 90 mm (w) x 140 mm (h) respectively. Near fine to extremely fine.
