Yugoslavia, Kingdom. A Submariner's Badge M 1937
Badge in silver, silver gilt, 63.55mm x 49.75mm, it weighs 33.8 grams, a die struck badge with crisp details and of excellent quality, maker marked on reverse "GK" (Griesbach i Knaus, Zagreb), as well marked with roster mark for 900 silver content,
with two retaining crews on reverse, slightly worn, in extremely fine condition and rare. A rare badge in top condition.
Footnote: while abroad the submarine, all Officers, NCO's and enlisted were permitted to wear the badge; on the permanent basis the right to wear badge was given to successful submarine commanders who served at least two years; and to Officers who served for minimum of six years and who successfully graduated from the submariner's commander's course.
