What's a max bid?

One photo illustrates two soldiers from the shoulders up, two photos have four soldiers each, four photos feature groups of soldiers of varying numbers, another photo has a soldier with a woman, the remaining photo illustrates a soldier with three women and two children. All are in black and white, one having faded to a sepia-toned look, seven with a gloss finish, two with a matte finish, three bearing inscriptions on their reverses, one of which also has an inscription below the photo, six with scalloped edges, the other three with straight edges, ranging in size from 83 mm (w) x 61 mm (h) to 90 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), two are Agfa marked on their reverses, one exhibiting light soiling, one with extensive soiling, the other seven are very clean and crisp, near fine to extremely fine.
