Yugoslavia, Serbia. Twelve Chetnik Photographs
Seven photos are of single soldiers, five of them taken in a studio setting, two of which are studio marked below the photo, one is a group of three soldiers, one shows six soldiers in front of a monument, another has eleven soldiers in the field with a machine gun, while the remaining two photos are of a large group in front of a building. All are in black and white, two having faded to a sepia-toned look, six with a gloss finish, six with a matte finish, one with the soldier's collar colorized in red and the medal on his chest colourized in yellow, eight bearing inscriptions on their reverses, one photographer stamped in red ink on its reverse, eight with scalloped edges, the other four with straight edges, ranging in size from 53 mm (w) x 76 mm (h) to 107 mm (w) x 71 mm (h), six exhibiting light soiling, one with extensive soiling, the other five are very clean and crisp, near fine to extremely fine.
