An example of a third reich period bronze grade SA sports badge; in bronzed metal (magnetic); the obverse constructed of an oak wreath with a ribbon at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions, with a mobile swastika in the center and a vertically upright sword superimposed onto the wreath; the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback and a functional hinge/catch assembly; maker marked “Hans Hensler, Pforzheim” and “Eigentum der Obersten SA Führung” on the reverse; measuring 46.11 mm (w) x 58.46 mm (h); weighing 16.9 grams; with all of its original finish worn off, but with enough bronze finish remaining to positively identify this as a bronze grade SA Sports badge; in fair condition.
