A mint and unissued example of a third reich period 40-Year Civil Faithful Service Cross; a gilt tombac cross pattee; the obverse with an oak leaf wreath between the arms of the cross, with a static black enameled swastika in the center; the reverse inscribed “Für treue Dienste” within a square; on a loop for suspension; with its mint and un-used period original ribbon; measuring 41.43 mm (w) x 41.34 mm (h); weighing 20.3 grams. Accompanied by its original presentation box of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper, with a red faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the exterior of the lid embossed “25” within an open ended wreath in gold; with a lined interior lid - maker marked “Deschler & Sohn, München” in black lettering; functional spring catch with stud release, intact interior fabric hinge cover, functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 50 mm (w) x 103 mm (h); in overall mint and unissued condition.
