Germany. A Clasp to the Iron Cross 1939 First Class, Second Type, by Otto Schickle
(Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz). Constructed of silvered tombac; the obverse consisting of a National eagle clutching a large wreathed mobile swastika with a shield at the bottom of the badge, dated “1939”; the reverse with a functional hinge/catch assembly; unmarked, but displaying all typical manufacturing characteristics of Otto Schickle, such as the “missing” upper feather on the left wing; with a complete screwback assembly; measuring 44.68 mm (w) x 30.75 mm (h); weighing 19.3 grams; in mint condition.
