Germany. A Police NCO’s Belt Pouch
A textbook example of a very well preserved third reich period Police NCO’s belt pouch; constructed from a thick leather upper featuring a smooth black finish, with the reverse in raw leather; featuring a weather flap with a die-stamped silvered aluminum police insignia affixed to the obverse via three prongs visible on the reverse, and held in place via a thin strip of leather tied between and knotted around the bottom prong, three metal (magnetic) posts on the bottom, the two outer ones to be attached to the ends of the aforementioned belt, angled straps on either side on the reverse for placement upon a waist belt, slotted strap stitched in place on the reverse of the weather flap and when connected to central metal post on the bottom of the pouch, ensures a secure fit, overlaying slotted centre strap also attached to the central metal post; measuring 120 mm (w) x 80 mm (h); light signs of period wear; in overall extremely fine condition.
