Germany. A Saar Region DJ (German Youths) Pennant
An example of a rare and extremely well preserved pennant of the DJ (German Youths/Deutsche Jugend); constructed of black cotton fabric in the shape of a longitudional triangle featuring a single white cotton DJ rune on each side of the pennant; with spring metal (magnetic) attachment clips on both ends of the bunting; stamped twice with the official seal of the “Deutsches Jungvolk in der HJ des Saargebiets” (German Youngsters of the HJ of the Saar Region” in blue ink; measuring 67 cm x 39 cm; without rips or tears, and with only minor discolouration of the white fabric from light period use; in overall near mint condition.
