An extensive lot of Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM), Deutscher Arbeitsfront (DAF), and NSDAP documents and insignia named to one person, including a HJ Honour Badge, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse bearing a central black mobile swastika on a red and white enameled checkered diamond, the reverse maker marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “M1/78” for Paulmann & Crone, Lüdenscheid, engraved with issue number “62112”, measuring 16.96 mm (w) x 29.35 mm (h), missing its vertical pinback, in overall very fine condition;
Accompanied by its original award document, constructed of off-white card stock with multi-coloured ink, named to “ZUSELOTTE KORTMANN”, with a matching issue number, undated, measuring 90 mm (w) x 120 mm (h), with material fatigue and moisture damage evident, in very fine condition; a BDM Proficiency Clasp, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured embroidery, horizontal pinback, the reverse bearing an engraving of “B6643”, measuring 28.58 mm (w) x 14.40 mm (h), in very fine condition;
A BDM membership card, constructed of light brown card stock with black ink, named to “CHARLOTTE KORTMANN” of Bochum, born 11 November 1920, who joined the BDM on 1 January 1933, issued on 12 January 1933, featuring a black-and-white photograph of the bearer, measuring 80 mm (w) x 124 mm (h) when closed, with extensive material fatigue and tape repair evident, in overall very fine condition;
Accompanied by a supplement card, constructed of light brown card stock with multi-coloured ink, also named to Charlotte Kortmann, featuring stamps for membership dues for the years 1937 to 1939 and a black-and-white photograph of Kortmann, measuring 76 mm (w) x 120 mm (h) when clsoed, in near extremely fine condition;
A BDM Gross-Bochum district membership card, constructed of light brown card stock named to “ZUSELOTTE KORTMANN”, issued on 29 July 1932, measuring 115 mm (w) x 78 mm (h), with extensive material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition; a DAF membership booklet, constructed of a card stock binding with 16 interior pages, named to “ZUSE KORTMANN” of Bochum, with membership commencing on 1 July 1940, measuring 108 mm (w) x 152 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
A replacement DAF membership card, constructed of light brown card stock with black ink, named to “ZUSE KORTMANN” of Bochum, measuring 120 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a NSDAP membership booklet, constructed of a card stock binding with a faux red leather exterior liner with 48 interior pages, named to “ZUSELOTTE KORTMANN”, featuring a black-and-white photograph of the bearer, with extensive moisture damage that has rendered most of the handwritten entries illegible, measuring 105 mm (w) x 135 mm (h), in overall fair condition.
