Germany, DRK. An Officer’s Dagger Hanger
(Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Gehänge für Dolch). A scarce and very well-preserved Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (German Red Cross/DRK) Officer’s dagger hanger, consisting of a functional aluminum spring clip with dual loops emanating from the bottom edge, descending from each loops is a strap constructed of beige doeskin wool, topped by a silver-grey rayon tresses flanked by silver aluminum wire bands, each in turn trimmed along both edges with red machine embroidery, with both straps retaining functional aluminum buckles and completing in functional spring clips to lock onto the scabbard’s loops, unmarked, measuring 31 cm in total length as presented, demonstrating only minor loss of finish to the metal fixtures, in overall extremely fine condition.
