Constructed of silvered and patinated tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle, the reverse with a raised crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, unmarked, measuring 65.53 mm (w) x 53.34 mm (h), weighing 43.4 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux blue leather exterior, the interior with a blue satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 75 mm (w) x 82 mm (l) x 26 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
